CEDAR RAPIDS — The Central College men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 shutout loss at the hands of Coe College Saturday morning
           
Central (3-15, 2-3 American Rivers Conference) came up empty against the No. 52 ranked Kohawks (14-5, 5-0 conference).
           
Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College) came up short in a slugfest at No. 1 singles before falling 6-2, 7-6 (7-1).
           
Ernest Alvarez Chedzoy (freshman, Kerrville, Texas, Tivy HS) also played a tight match at No. 3 singles, losing 7-5, 6-4.
           
Central plays three home American Rivers Conference matches next week, starting with a Buena Vista University at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
