PELLA— After splitting a doubleheader Saturday against Illinois College, the Central College softball team dropped one spot to No. 21 in the newest NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll released Tuesday.
Central (16-2) had its 13-game winning streak ended against the Lady Blues Saturday in a 12-3 loss after five innings. The Dutch rallied to win the opener 7-6.
Virginia Wesleyan University is the unanimous No. 1 team while Trine University (Ind.) and Linfield University (Ore.) round out the top three.
Central travels to Decorah for a 2 p.m. doubleheader against Luther College Friday.
