PELLA— Four members of the Central College women's basketball team were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District list released Tuesday
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must play in 90% of a team's contests at the varsity level or start in 66% of the games while achieving a 3.50 or better cumulative grade point average (4.00 scale). Each institution can nominate a limited number of players per gender.
The players selected were
Abbey Bence (junior, Burlington, West Burlington HS), CeCe Moore (junior, Waterloo, West HS), McKenzie Snook (sophomore, Chariton) and
Jasmyn Williams (senior, Commerce City, Colo., Arvada West HS).
A three-time honoree, Williams has a 3.71 GPA as an elementary education major. She averaged 5.5 points per game in 25 contests, adding 69 assists. Bence is a kinesiology major with a 4.00 GPA. Bence had 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in 26 games. Snook is a 3.83 GPA in kinesiology with 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 26 games. Moore is a 3.55 GPA as an elementary education major with 7.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in 26 games.
