Dutch getting back in the swing of tennis competition

ROCHESTER, MINN. — Splitting up its roster and going in two different directions, the Central College men's tennis team was 0-3 on the first competition day of the spring semester.

The Dutch (0-3) wanted to maximize the opportunities for its young roster to get matches and split between a pair of locations.

In Rochester, Minnesota, Central fell to Bethel University (Minn.) 6-1. No. 1 singles player Bodi Kortz (freshman, Wormerveer, Netherlands/St. Michael College) was the lone Dutch winner. He triumphed 6-3, 0-6, 13-11.
In Cedar Rapids, the Dutch dropped a pair of 7-0 matches against Coe College and Carthage College (Wis.)

Central hosts the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Grand View University in a triangular starting 10 a.m. next Saturday.
