PELLA— The Central College women's cross country team is ranked No. 26 in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III national rankings of the regular season. This is familiar territory for the Dutch, who entered the season ranked No. 26.
In the Midwest Regional Rankings, they sit at No. 4, where they were also ranked heading into the season. The Dutch trail the University of Chicago, Washington University (MO.), and A-R-C cohort Wartburg College in the regional rankings.
The men's team is ranked No. 6 in the Midwest Regional Rankings, slotted right in front of Simpson and right behind Loras. Other A-R-C teams in the rankings include Wartburg (No. 1) and Nebraska Wesleyan (No. 8).
Central doesn't have another meet for over a week, when both teams will be competing in the Dutch Open on Friday, September 26. The men's race starts at 5 p.m. while the women's race starts at 5:45.
