PELLA— Three members of the Central College women's cross country team and two from the men's squad will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the NCAA Division III Championships this Saturday.
Senior
Peyton Steffen (senior, Marion) is making back-to-back appearances as an individual. She placed 101st last year at the meet in Terre Haute, Indiana. Freshman
Maddy Stevens (Grimes, Dallas Center-Grimes HS) continues her stellar rookie season with her first trip to a national championship meet.
Teah Miller (junior, Iowa Falls, Iowa Falls-Alden HS) will represent Central for the first time at the national meet but finished 161st during her freshman season at Luther College in 2023.
Jack Brown (junior, Norwalk) and
William Wadsley (junior, Gilbert) both competed as freshmen at the 2023 NCAA Division III Championships as part of Central's men's team that took 15th place. Brown finished 243rd and Wadsley was 260th
Saturday's race schedule starts with the men at 11 a.m. (EST) and the women are to follow at noon (EST).
