Third conference win in a row for Dutch women’s tennis squad

Central moves to 3-0 in American Rivers Conference

Box Score PELLA— It was another dominant performance for the Central College women's tennis team in a 6-1 triumph over Nebraska Wesleyan University Wednesday.
           
After splitting the first two doubles matches, Central (4-0, 3-0 American Rivers Conference) rallied to win the doubles point as the No. 2 team of Emma Murphy (junior, Liberty, Mo.) and Lauren Gano (junior, Johnston) sealed a 7-6 (7-1) victory Emily Blom (sophomore, Pella) and Sidney Peterson (freshman, Johnston) won 6-3 at No. 3.
           
Jenna Mitsuko Mahoney (senior, Misawa, Japan, Robert D. Edgren HS) capped the night off with a 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 win at No. 1 singles,
           
Murphy won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, Blom won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Peterson won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Rebekah Christensen (junior, Marshalltown) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
           
The Dutch are in Cedar Rapids Saturday for a 9:30 a.m. match with Coe College.
