Dutch softball team ranked No. 20

Central will play four games this week


PELLA— The Central College softball team stayed ranked No. 20 in the updated NFCA rankings.
           
After a 2-0 week which saw the Dutch sweep Bethany Lutheran in a doubleheader led by pitcher Emma Beck (junior, Holland, Grundy Center HS) throwing two complete games.
           
East Texas Baptist University remains ranked No. 1 and there was movement in the top five as Christopher Newport University (Va.) is now ranked No. 2
           
The Dutch will open American Rivers play Friday when they travel to Indianola to take on Simpson College with a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. Sunday the team will play its first home game when it welcomes the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
