Olivia DeVos (sophomore, Altoona, Southeast Polk HS) goal in the 66th minute. She scored on assists from
Josie Newton (junior, Altoona, Southeast Polk HS) and
Piper Eighmy (junior, Birmingham, Ala., Briarwood Christian HS
"On a positive note, we really pushed back the last 30 minutes and got a great goal," Kobylinski said. "But our goal is to be better the whole game and play our brand more."
Central out shot the Knights 7-6 and had a slight 51%-49% advantage in possession time.
The Dutch travel to Decorah for a 5 p.m. match against Luther College Tuesday.
"We need to continue to stay the course," Kobylinski said. "This is our toughest stretch. We will lean into the leadership and coaching."
