GRINNELL— The Central College men's soccer team dominated the second half and scored two goals to record a 2-2 draw against Grinnell College.
It was not just the goals, the Dutch (3-1-1) outshot the Pioneers (1-1-2) 8-3 in the second half, the team also had five corner kicks compared to none for their opponent.
"I was really pleased with the response in the second half," coach

After giving up two first half goals the squad cut the deficit in half shortly after halftime when defenseman
Trysten Vasquez (junior, Cedar Rapids, Xavier) scored from an assist by defender
Max Lauman (freshman, Pella).
The second half surge continued late when midfielder
Ian Greddell (freshman, West Des Moines, Dowling Catholic) scored in the 84th minute. Midfielder
Coleman Manuel (senior, Erie, Colo.) set up the equalizer with the assist.
"Matches like this can present growth opportunities for our group." Laidlaw said. "I thought our guys showed great character and resilience to get something out of the game."
The next game for the team is Saturday when it travels to Sioux Center to take on Dordt University at 3:15 p.m.
