Bouska named Central’s assistant cheerleading coach

Former Dutch cheerleader joins coaching staff

PELLA—A former member of the Central College cheerleading program and an experienced high school coach, Megan Bouska has been chosen as the program's new assistant coach.

Since completing her time as a collegiate cheerleader, Bouska spent 10 years working with high school cheer programs. She was the head coach at Prairie City-Monroe High School from 2017-21 and oversaw football, competition, basketball and wrestling. She guided the program to a third-place finish in the 2A Cheer/Dance Division at the 2018 Iowa Spirit Spectacular
           
Bouska joined the staff at Pella High School in 2021 as an assistant coach for the football and competitive seasons. She took over as the head coach in 2023 and will continue to in that role in addition to her position with Central.
           
Bouska, who graduated from Central in 2013, is also the stewardship program manager in Central's advancement office.
