Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I felt I had a place and felt wanted from the very first time I stepped on campus. Whether it was Coach Fyfe and my teammates welcoming me onto the cross team or my SOS leader checking up on me or my professor asking about my life, the relationships available at Central are truly unique.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Diers. She teaches some of the intro education courses, and has an overwhelming amount of experience and knowledge in the areas she teaches. She teaches in memorable, engaging and interactive ways that I want to apply in my future classroom some day!
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
This is tricky I like lots of music!. For working out, I’d say Panic! At the Disco or Fall Out Boy. When I’m relaxing, Ingrid Michaelson or Rend Collective.
You’re majoring in elementary education because...
I love the responsibility of helping children discover the world and giving them the tools to grow as learners and individuals!
Worst thing you ever did as a child? What was the punishment?
I never did anything too horrible. My sister and I use to take the couch cushions off the couch and slide down the stairs like we were sledding. We usually got away with that though.
eammate who could win on America’s Got Talent, what would their talent be?
This is an easy one. My teammate Carly Klavins and I for sure! We would sing a duet to T-Swift’s Shake It Off. (we have previous experience in front of large crowds). If we’re being serious though, Rachel Peter! I love listening to her sing at combos concerts!
Favorite cartoon as a kid?
Dragon Tales or Arthur
Describe your perfect sandwich.
Jimmy Johns bread, bacon, lettuce, turkey, colby jack cheese, and ranch..or an ice cream sandwich.
What are different nicknames you have had in your life?
A lot of the girls on the cross team call me “Nan”. I’ve been called Sav, Sav Dog, S-dog, Sav(age), etc. Cross country teammate have a tendency to give out nicknames because we spend way too much time together.

What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Fyfe?
He has a thing for hats. He always has to cover his head. If you find the floppy farmers hat at cross country and track meets, you’ve spotted Coach Fyfe. One time he forgot his hat at practice and wore his bike helmet for the entire workout. He’s also pretty stellar at yoga.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central cross country and track?
I love my teammates and the family we’ve made! We are all unique and bring something different to the team. You don’t have to be the fastest or the most outspoken to play a role.

hopefully be moving back to the United States from traveling, teaching, and doing mission work abroad. Maybe working on planning a wedding and lots of kiddos to follow.

I want to visit every continent, run a marathon, camp under the Northern Lights, scuba dive, visit the Holy Land in Israel, and grow a huge garden.
