Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because I loved the small knit community feeling. They also have a great Education program that gets you out in the classroom right away. The tennis team was an added bonus! I knew I wanted to continue playing the sport I love and I knew Central had a great tennis program.
Favorite professor and why?
This is a tough one because the Education program is filled with so many awesome professors! I would have to say Jen Diers and Jason Surian. They are both so passionate about teaching and really make learning come alive. I never caught myself checking the clock in their classes!
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I would have to say Ben Rector, Coldplay, The Fray, and Ed Sheeran.
You’re majoring in elementary education because?
I’m majoring in Education because I love working with kids and making a difference. I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I always used to go to my mom’s classroom after school and would pretend I was teaching.
What Disney character do you most identify with and why?
I read this question to my Grandpa, and he immediately said “Goofy!”. I guess I would have to agree with this because I love to have fun and laugh with my friends. Life is too short to be serious all the time anyway!

What is your go-to gas station snack?
Popcorn!! Or anything salty. And coffee, of course.
What was the happiest moment in your life?
I’ve had a lot of happy moments in life, but the one that comes to mind is when I was in Sierra Leone, Africa. I travelled with Jen Diers and several other students to Africa last summer. On the last day we were there, we took all of the kids from the orphanage to the beach. This was the first time they had been out of the orphanage in 2 years. Seeing them run into the water so carefree was heartwarming. Their happiness made me so happy!
What’s the best advice you have ever gotten and from who?
Before I left for college, my dad told me not to conform to the patterns of the world. (Cliché but very powerful!)
Teammate who could dominate on World of Dance?
Definitely Madison Krumm. She has some sick dance moves!!
Favorite TV Show
This is another hard one considering I spend a majority of my time watching Netflix. My top four are One Tree Hill, Prison Break, Grey’s Anatomy, and Friends.
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Ferrell?
Coach Ferrell’s nickname is Chicken Little. If you see him around, you’ll have to ask him the story behind it. I promise it’s a good one!
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central tennis?
I like being a part of Central tennis because I know I will always have a group of amazing girls and coaches to run to if I ever need anything.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
Ten years from now I’ll be teaching in Colorado, enjoying life with my Golden Retriever and hopefully I’ll be happily married with a child or two!
Favorite food from Central Market
Definitely Lemon Custard Greek Yogurt!!! Fruit Pizza is a close second.
