Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because my Uncle, Harry Smith, talked to coach Mac and said I was looking for a place to play football. I came here on an overnight visit and really liked the education program and football program and enjoyed hanging out with the football players. After my visit I knew I wanted to go to Central.
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. Martisovits. At my first ever college class, he would stand at the door and shake every students hand and try to get to know their name. And at the start of class he always asked how football was going, and I would see him always interacting with students to see how their doing. It's nice to have a professor who cares for his students.
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
Dave Matthews Band. That's it. Ask all of my friends and they would say the same because he's my absolute favorite person ever. I listen to him about 99% of the time.
You’re majoring in Physics because?
I'm majoring in physics with a secondary ed endorsement. I want to be a high school physics teacher. I picked teaching because I did an internship in high school teaching 6th graders and loved doing it. And I chose physics because I find it very interesting and there's a very high demand for physics teachers. I also hope to coach football.
Best French fries: Wendy’s or McDonalds?
McDonald's. "Has your mom made anything better than a McDonald's french fry?" (Jim Gaffigan). Although I would pick Five Guys fries over McDonald's.
Favorite Central memory
My favorite Central memory is the Whitworth game. The game was going back and forth: we were winning then they were. Then to win the way we did, 2 point conversion in overtime, it's probably my favorite memory ever.
What’s it like having two brothers on the same team as you?
Having 2 brothers on the same team is really cool. I haven't had many chances to see them play. It makes me proud to see how hard they work and how much they've improved. I expect to see them on varsity by the end of the year. My dream is to play on the same line as them: Cody at left tackle, Carter at right tackle and I can play right guard.
Artist you’d pick to see in concert
Dave Matthews Band of course. I've already him 3 times and want to see much, much more. There's nothing like a DMB concert.
If you could play a position other than offensive line, what would you want to play?
If I was able to, I'd play linebacker: be the next Urlacher.
What Super Power do you wish you had?
Telekinesis/the force. That way I don't have to get up to move things or bring them closer.
Favorite TV Show
My favorite show is House. House makes the show a lot of fun and very intense.
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Jones?
I feel like Coach Jones got into a lot of fights because he's wants to prove he's better than everyone.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central football?
Hanging out with my teammates outside of football practice or games has given me the best memories, like get-to-know-you-time or Friday night movies. I'm also really happy I get to be a part of a winning tradition that Central football has.

Ten years from now I hope to be a high school physics teacher with tenure. I'm not sure where yet. I plan on staying in Pella for a couple to years to start off.
Favorite food from Central Market
Fresh baked cookies. I look forward to Tuesdays mostly for the cookies. It's gonna suck after football when I have to lose weight.
Bucket list
The number one thing on my bucket list would be to go to a Super Bowl. It'd be a ton of fun
