Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because for the relationships it has allowed me to build. Because of the smaller class sizes, I have been able to connect closely with all my professors and classmates. I also wanted to play for a top-tier softball program!
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Shelley Bradfield. Aside from bringing so much passion and energy into the classroom, Shelley always makes time to chat about life outside of academics.
You’re majoring in ________because?
I am majoring in Communications because it will allow me to communicate clearly and confidently in any career and will help foster meaningful relationships with others.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Michael Jackson will always be #1, but I’m also a big Chris Stapleton and Gavin Adcock gal!
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing softball has helped me grow as a leader on and off the field while surrounding me with lifelong best friends. It has also opened the door to countless opportunities including internships, community involvement, and experiences that have helped me find my passions.
Best place you visited in Europe during study abroad in the fall?
I absolutely loved visiting Dublin, Ireland. Hiking through Howth and the Wicklow Mountains was a ton of fun and I really enjoyed hearing the traditional Irish music on the fiddle as well. Portugal is a close second. It was so colorful and pretty!
Teammate who needs a reality TV crew following them around?
Morgan Mineart and Katie Bower. When they aren’t bickering, they’ve always got something entertaining going on.
What is your guilty pleasure movie?
The Greatest Showman. I will never get tired of it!
What sport would you play at Central besides softball?
Track or Basketball. I was a hurdler back in my high school days, but I’d love to be able to play some lock down defense just one more time too.

Call me crazy, but I don’t watch tv.
What’s it like to play for Coach Wares?
Playing for Coach Wares is challenging but so rewarding. He pushes you to accomplish things you never thought you could and allows you to be your full, authentic self on and off the field.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central’s softball team?
My favorite thing about being a part of CCSB are the lifelong friends I have made along the way. We push each other to be better people on and off the field and truly love watching each other succeed. I am grateful to be surrounded by such an amazing group of women.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be settled down with a family (somewhere near a lake) while working a rewarding job.
