Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I wanted a small school, I love that I know all my professors and they really care about each student. I also knew I wanted to run in college and Central was growing their sprint program and I wanted to be a part of it.
Favorite professor and why?
Anya Butt, she’s my academic advisor and I’ve had her as a professor in multiple classes. Her office is always open to help me with my work or to talk about anything.
You’re majoring in Environmental Studies because?
I’ve always loved nature and being outside. In high school I took an Environmental Science class and fell in love with it. I love my major because of the diverse classes I have been able to take at Central.

I’m a part of SCATE club (Students Concerned About The Environment) and The Central Bee Club.

I’m a big Swiftie so she's my number one but I’m also a fan of Lana Del Rey and Phoebe Bridgers.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

If I was any taller I would have kept playing basketball.

What’s it like to compete for Coach Sturman?
I have had a great time running for Coach Sturm. I have had really good and really bad racing seasons in college and no matter what he is always there encouraging me and helping me do better. He really understands how each athlete is different and works with them on their individual goals.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central women’s track and field team?
My teammates, I seriously think I have the best teammates in the world. Everyone is so supportive of each other, it helps that we practice together all year, it makes us a very close group.

In 10 years I would like to be travelling as a GIS technician and training for a marathon with my dog.
