Why did you chose Central?

I chose Central because I loved the idea of a smaller campus and class sizes. I also thought the Kinesiology program was very impressive and what I was looking for in an undergrad program. The coaches and Women’s Soccer Team were the cherry on top for me. Everything combined seemed like it would become home away home for me, and it surely has!

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Dr. Shelli Green. She not only sees you as a student but as a person outside of the classroom. She is very understanding and always asking how soccer or life is going. I have taken many classes with her, and am usually looking to see if there are any I can take with her the next semester when scheduling classes. In the classroom, she makes the content fun to learn by cracking jokes and just keeping a lively experience.

You’re majoring in Kinesiology because?

I am majoring in Kinesiology because I have a passion for anatomy and sciences. Majoring in Kinesiology has allowed me to pursue the path I am looking to take towards physical therapy. I not only love to work with people, but I love to help them. I think PT allows me to do just that in an environment I love.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I am involved in FCA and SAAC. I have two work studies, including working in the Financial Office and the Spirit Shoppe. Stop by to get some new Central gear!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

My favorite of all time is Garth Brooks, but I definitely love some Cody Johnson and Luke Combs too.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Central has helped me grow as a student, athlete, and person all together. It has blessed me with forever friends through the sport of soccer and small class sizes. Central has been the best fit for me in gaining more independence in the next chapter of my life in a comfortable environment.

Who is your favorite professional soccer player?

I am a fan of Carli Lloyd, but I do love watching Naomi Girma now that Carli is retired. Naomi plays the same position as I do, so I love to watch and learn from her.

Favorite sport to watch/play besides soccer?

You can catch me watching some sort of football every weekend in the fall, but I do love to play volleyball, whether that’s indoor or sand.

Where did you go for your favorite vacation ever?

My family and I make annual trips to the Gulf Shores in Alabama. I love to spend days on the beach getting tan and relaxing. The nightly walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets are something I definitely look forward to.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Definitely loud chewing.

Favorite TV Show

I don’t really watch TV shows, but I love to watch any sport and movies. My favorite movie is Christmas Vacation, but Mamma Mia is a close second.

What’s it like to play for Coach Kobylinski?

It is such a fun environment. He keeps practices and games competitive but does have a fun side to him. You know he’s in a good mood when he goes around and starts calling you by your high school mascot’s name.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central’s women’s soccer team?

The people make being a part of the soccer team one of the best experiences of my life. My teammates and coaches are some of my biggest supporters, and I am so grateful for that. They make the practices, long bus rides, and games so much fun and something I look forward to after long days in the classroom.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

In 10 years, I hope to have traveled to so many new places and own my own physical therapy clinic. Most of my family is in one area, and I would love to end up back closer to them.

Favorite food from Central Market

The warm chocolate chip cookies on Fresh Cookie Tuesday are for sure my favorite. How could they not be?

Bucket list

My goal is to travel to all 50 states. I am about halfway there now, but I would love to complete all 50. Another bucket list item for me is to see Garth Brooks in concert. I would also love to complete a half marathon and maybe a marathon one day. So many exciting things on my bucket list!
