Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because of the homey feel. I loved the smaller campus and how my tour guide said hello to so many people as we walked around. It made me feel like I would make a lot of friends and get another home away from home in Pella.
Favorite professor and why?
Professor Mary Stark is one of my biggest supporters. She’s the head of the Humanities and English department and has really helped me and supported me through my education journey. I just want to put her in my pocket and take her with me everywhere because she’s so cute.
You’re majoring in elementary education because?
Elementary Education. I really love teaching, it has become such a passion for me. Making an impact on one kid’s life can change your whole perspective on the world.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I have spent a lot of time working with the orientation staff (SOS) and being a peer leader for that crew. I also was a student manager at the Cafe on campus. If I wasn’t practicing, you probably ran into me working behind the counter making your essential iced coffee for the day.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Tophouse, Hozier, and my main man Bob Dylan.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Being a student-athlete has helped me grow in my time management skills but also has led me to meet some pretty amazing people.
Best golf course you’ve ever played and the course you’ve played the most times in your life?
Getting to play the Eden Course at St. Andrew’s in Scotland with my team, we got to travel to Scotland a couple of years ago and it was the best golf of my life. North Berwick and Dunbar were also some amazing courses we got to play in Edinburgh and St. Andrew’s.
If you could live in any TV show, which one would it be and why?
I would love to live in “That 70s Show”, it’s my favorite and I think I would thrive in the 70s.
Teammate that would have the best chance to win on American Ninja Warrior?
For sure my roommate Bytnar is a little ninja warrior. She could probably take me down if it didn’t make her laugh so much.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Eating ice cream even though I’m lactose intolerant.
Favorite TV Show
The Office and New Girl
What’s it like to play for Coach Schumacher?
She’s a great coach, she always has our best interests at heart, and she lets us get dessert after every tournament.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central women’s golf team?
Our team has been really close over the years and we have been able to watch each other grow as people and as athletes.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Working my way up through the ranks of the school system and being in the administration office someday.
Favorite food from Central Market
Any of the desserts, fresh cookie Tuesday is awesome, but I also love a good caramel bar.
