Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because I love the environment on campus. The classrooms allow great connections with professors and I also get the opportunity to play softball.

Favorite professor and why?

I have loved all of my professors here at Central! More specifically my Kinesiology professors. All of them have allowed me to succeed in the classroom all while having fun at the same time. There is never a dull moment in class!

You’re majoring in kinesiology because?

I am majoring in Kinesiology because I want to become an Occupational Therapist! More specifically targeted towards children! I have always had a great skill of connecting with children in ways they understand and with my passion for athletics, I wanted to pursue a career in something that I would love!

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I am involved in the Central College Ski & Board Club and work in sports information as a photographer!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

I think anyone can tell you that I am a HUGE Elvis fan. I love oldies like Elton John and Billy Joel but I also love Noah Kahan and all country music! I have a very diverse playlist on my phone!

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

I have grown individually so much! Getting the opportunity to study abroad this fall has also made a big impact. I have learned so much about myself year after year. Most importantly, Central has brought me the opportunity to play softball with the greatest group of girls that I know I can count on after college.

Favorite place you visited during your semester in Greece this fall?

It is hard to pick one because everywhere I went was unique in its own way. If I could go back and spend more time somewhere it would be Rome. It was beautiful and so surreal! Just like every place I went!

If you could live in one Disney movie, which one and why?

My favorite Disney movie is The Lion King so I think it is only fair to say I would live there. Not sure what I would do in the Pride Lands of Africa but I’m sure I can work it out.

Do the different colors of skittles/starbursts/mike&Ike have different flavors?

Of course they do! Orange and red are superior flavors.

Favorite professional sports team and/or athlete?

I’m always cheering for Iowa State! Afterall, it is a Cyclone state.
 
Favorite TV Show

My favorite show is either Friends or Full House! I love having it on as background noise and could probably tell you what is happening in the episode without even watching it!

What’s it like to play for Coach Wares?
 
Playing for Coach Wares goes beyond softball. It is challenging physically and mentally but also so rewarding in the end. He helps us become strong and confident women which translates off the field as well. Most importantly he cares a lot about the program and will always put us in a position to succeed!

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central softball team?

Choosing a favorite is honestly hard because there is so much that goes into being a part of the CCSB team. Alumni connections, the culture that has been created, the game atmosphere, and the girls by my side who put their heart and soul into the program!

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

10 years from now I hope to have a successful photography career of my own while working OT on the side, coaching, and having a family of my own! I want to be able to look back and not regret anything in life!

Favorite food from Central Market

My favorite food from the Market would definitely be popcorn chicken bowls or country fried chicken!
