Pella, Iowa
Class of 2022
Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because of the fact that it was a no brainer with my parents being on staff. Apart from that I wanted to be able to go through the hands on athletic training program. When I came on my visit I was not expecting much, but when I was done with the visit I felt like I had found my home for the next 4 years.

Favorite professor and why?
Apart from my father, Shelli Green because as we have gone through the AT program she has been an amazing leader for us. She has a great knowledge of the of the athletic training world and she has taught us really well. She holds us AT majors to an incredibly high standard and that has pushed me to work harder and harder.
You’re majoring in Athletic Training because?
I chose athletic training because I was aware that the major was going away, and the Athletic Training program at Central is one of the best in the state of Iowa if not the country. It has allowed me to be able to open a ton of different doors for what possible career I want to pursue.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am in the Central Strength and Conditioning Intenrship program
Co-President of Central College FCA
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Machine Gun Kelly, Chris Tomlin, State Champs
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Central has presented me with amazing opportunities during my time here and long after I graduate. I have been an athlete for my entire life I wanted a chance to keep competing after high school. My sister Whitney was a conference champion in the javelin when she was here at Central, and she taught me how to throw. I have loved being able to compete in the Javelin for Central College my progression over my years here has been really cool to see and it has given me something to really work hard for.
What was it like to go to Central after growing up in Pella?
Choosing Central as a Pella kid I had no idea what to expect but I made the right choice. When I am on campus I feel like I am in a complete different town, but the nice thing is that if I ever need something from home I can just drive 5 minutes away to go get what I need. I think it is an awesome thing that I am from Pella and I came here because most kids in my graduating class from Pella did not and that allowed me to meet a ton of amazing people.
