Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because both my parents went here, it has a good track and field team, a strong kinesiology department, is close to home, and allows me to pursue both my track career and my music hobbies relatively easilyÂ
Favorite professor and why?
Doctor Green is my favorite professor because she explains concepts in ways that are both fun and easy to understandÂ

I like learning about the human body and helping people become the healthiest version of themselves
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I also play the saxophone in Alma, which I have been doing since I was a freshman.Â

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
It has allowed me to continue doing the sport I love while not letting it totally dominate my life. At a Dl program, your entire life is dictated by your sport. For example the coaches often will determine what classes you can and can't take, as well as limit what you're allowed to do outside of the sport. This doesn't happen at Central. I can do what I want with my degree as well as continue doing other things outside of track that I want to do.Â
What's your favorite non-chain restaurant in the Des Moines area?
Bambinos for sure. Love Italian foodÂ
What's the best advice you've received from a coach?
Learning how to coach others will help you figure out what needs to be improved in your own performanceÂ
What is your guilty pleasure in terms of music you listen to?
Justin Ward for sure. Best saxophone sound I've ever heardÂ
What was the last gift you gave someone?
A very tight Pikachu costumeÂ

What's your favorite part about being a member of Central's men's track and field team?
Definitely the environment and the other guys. The social dynamic is awesome. Every athlete is willing to work hard and push each other, but also willing to have a good time and enjoy each other's company.Â
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be helping people to get into shape and improve their body image and overall well being as a personal trainerÂ
