Why Central?
I chose to come to Central for a lot of reasons but mainly because I really enjoyed my visits here and talking with the great professors, along with being able to play basketball in program under some great coaches.
Who is your favorite professor and why?
Professor Andy Campbell who I have not actually had in class yet but have got to know through him making time to meet with me about my major and classes, along with just having someone to ask any questions I've had throughout the start of my college career.
What have you been playing in your iPod recently?
I have been listening to “Come and Get your Love” mostly because Kyle Newendorp LOVES the song and whenever we hear it as a team we are almost always guaranteed to see a little “dancing” from someone, whether that's good or bad thing.
Favorite celebrity when you were a kid?
I would have to say my favorite celebrity when I was a kid had to be Elvis. My hair was long and we would slick it back and I’d put on some blue suede shoes. Im pretty sure I went as Elvis for about four years for Halloween.
Pre-game meal of choice?
I would have to say my meal of choice would be a foot long Subway Melt sandwich with extra Mayo.
If you could live in any TV show, which one would it be and why?
I really like The Walking Dead, so if I had to choose one to be in it would be that one.
Favorite NBA player and why?
Michael Jordan is my favorite NBA basketball player of all time not because he is arguably the best player of all time but because of his desire to compete and to do whatever it takes to win every day.
Teammate who could be a reality show star
I would think that if you could make a reality TV show about the five seniors living together for their senior year it would be extremely entertaining to watch. We could call it, “Four and a Half Men” and let them figure out who the “child” of the group is.
If you weren't playing basketball, what other sport would you play at Central?
I really enjoyed football and baseball in high school so I would have to try and see if I could make it on one of those teams.
What is the best song on this year’s warm-up CD?
The first one that we run out to called, Danza Kuduro, is easily my favorite because at the beginning of the year we are all sitting around a table trying to figure out which song to run out to for the year and someone throws out this song as a joke, so obviously we all loved it.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to find a job that I enjoy going to every day and I do not know exactly what that is yet but hopefully I can make a lot of money doing that.
What is your Favorite TV Show
I am a huge fan of the TV show “Friends”.
What’s one thing people don’t about Coach Douma?
One thing that i have noticed about coach Douma is the one thing he brings on the bus and to every practice that I can remember, and that is a big cup full of Mountain Dew or some kind of pop.
Why do you love Central Basketball?
I really did not know at the beginning of the year that we have so much support from the community and from the students. I love the Central Dutch fan base that shows up to all college events. It really gives us athletes just that much more reason to become the best we can be for our fans.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
“hopefully be graduated from college!” is what my mother would jokingly say but I hope I have found something I enjoy doing and start to settle down.
What is your favorite Central Market food?
For the people who sit by me and know me best, there is nothing better than a couple slices of pizza and a lot of ranch to dip it in. Don't knock it until you try it is all I have to say.
