Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because of the lasting impression I felt after visiting. Academically, I knew the professors cared for my success as a student and my preparation and development for the real world after college. Athletically, the coaches and future teammates at the time were extremely welcoming and helpful in the college process.

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor would have to be Dr. Lemke. As much as he is very involved in my development as a college student, I feel that I could come to him for help with whatever it may be. He has provided great knowledge and insight when it comes to my education but also life after college. Anytime I come into his office he always tries to talk about other matters than just academics and in many cases will crack a joke here and there.

You’re majoring in finance and accounting because?

I enjoy handling money and following the many processes and theories that come with it. It is also very beneficial for my own personal life decision financially too, providing many rewards. In general, it is enjoyable in the fact that I am learning ways that I can help others with their potential financial issues and help them get on the right path.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

Besides athletics, I am a part of the Student- Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). This is a group of student-athletes who meet monthly to discuss the ways in which we, as Division III can make an impact here at Central but also throughout the NCAA.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

For music, I listen to a wide variety of artists. My most listened to genre would definitely be country but hip hop/rap plays a close second. For country, my top 3 artists would have to be Luke Combs, Brad Paisley, and Zac Brown Band. For hip hop/rap my favorite artist is Polo G.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Attending Central and playing a sport has made an impact on my life in multiple ways. The first would be the many new lifelong friendships and relationships that I have made and built through my time here at Central. I can definitely say I have found some friends that will be groomsmen at my wedding! Second, is the time management aspect. As a student-athlete you learn to manage your time wisely with school and athletics. This aspect of being a student-athlete is so beneficial for after college life for whatever it may be.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

Too many to count! I have always had a great passion for shoes, whether that be Jordans or Nikes. I am always looking on SNKRS or other pages to see what will be dropping next to see what I can get my hands on.

Teammate you’d take with you on The Amazing Race

A teammate I would like to take with me on the Amazing Race would easily be Hunter Wilkinson. First of all I know we would be laughing the entire time and in doing so it may slow us down. Second, I know I can trust Hunter to have my back in whatever may come our way during the race. As a combined team, there is no doubt we wouldn’t win!

Power rank all of the Chicago professional sports team favorite to least favorite

First favorite team would have to be the Chicago Bears, after that it goes the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls, and finally the Sox. I just watch the Bears way too often and for almost every year I have been alive, it has not been our year, but we still love them! After that comes the Cubs, another team I would watch somewhat frequently, especially growing up. For the Blackhawks, I can still remember when they won the Stanley Cup in 2010, 13, and 15. After that, I never watched the Bulls that often. The only time was when rookie Derek Rose would fly all over the court to take them to the playoffs. Being a Cubs, there is no hate for the Sox, however as a result, I just simply do not watch any of their games.

If you won a million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I won a million dollars, I would first give a good portion of it back to my parents as they have provided so much for me and played such a huge role in any success I have. After that another portion would be donated to charity. With whatever is left I would invest the rest in order to make more! I mean I am a Finance major after all.

Favorite TV Show

Favorite TV shows are “That 70s Show” or “Blacklist”, both I could put on any day and binge watch it all day.

What’s it like to play for Coach McMartin?

Playing for Coach McMartin is awesome. First of all he is a great coach and anyone would be lucky to call him that. He cares so much about the success of his players. As much as his goal is to win every game, he cares just as much about his players becoming great men when football ends and that is exactly why I love this Central Football program and what it means to have Coach McMartin as my coach.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central football team?

My favorite part about playing Football here at Central is the lasting history it has and the many friendships I have made in my time here. Every Saturday, the stands are packed and the energy from the fans is incredible. To have such a big following is a blessing from a players perspective. Once again, I can say I have made lifelong friends through the football team and know that I could go to any one of them with anything at any time and they would help and support me with whatever it may be.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

10 years from now I hope to be working for a great company in which I can make a big impact on their success. On top of that I hope to be married and start a family somewhere where I can call my home!

Favorite food from Central Market

Favorite food from the Central Market has to be the Brisket Quesadilla. Such a reliable choice during lunch at the market!

Bucket list

For my bucket list, I want to go and visit many other countries around the world. I think it would be cool to experience and be immersed in a variety of other cultures. Skydiving is on there for sure too! I have been wanting to go skydiving for sometime now and this might get checked off real soon. From there it would be cool to go scuba diving, see the northern lights, and go on a helicopter ride.
