Why did you chose Central?

I chose Central because I wanted to attend a school that would provide me with a quality education while also allowing me to continue my athletic career. After my first visit, I knew Central was home. My teammates, professors, and coaches make Central a great fit for me.
 
Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Professor Julie Summers. She does a great job making her courses interactive and applicable. During my time at Central, I have learned a variety of professional skills that will help me be successful post-graduation.
 
You’re majoring in Business Management because?

Since high school, I have been interested in the field of marketing and sales. The marketing emphasis of the business management degree program has done a great job of challenging me to grow professionally and personally. I love working with people and helping them solve their problems, so marketing and sales have been the perfect fit for me.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

Outside of Soccer, I enjoy attending the Fellowship of Christian Athletes' weekly meetings. FCA is a great way to connect with other athletes on campus that share similar interests and values. I am also the Director of Engagement for the organization Backstage Pass. The organization’s purpose is to get Central College students involved in the Pella community.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

My current go-to musical artists would have to be the Turnpike Troubadours, Flatland Cavalry, and Riley Green.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Being a student-athlete at the collegiate level has taught me many life lessons, such as patience, time management, perseverance, and sacrifice. I love getting the chance to better myself and compete every day. Playing soccer at Central has truly impacted my life for the better.
 
Favorite international soccer club?

Manchester United

Best barbecue spot in the Kansas City area?

Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que… hands down!

What’s it like to play for Coach Laidlaw?

Playing for Coach Laidlaw is not easy, but it is very rewarding. He not only cares about our development as a player but also as a person. He is a great motivator, mentor, and example of what a head coach at the college level should look like.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Central men’s soccer team?

Getting the chance to work with a group of guys to achieve success while making lifelong friendships along the way. It is a brotherhood that is truly special, and I am proud to be a part of it.
 
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

I hope to be in marketing or field sales for a company that I enjoy working with.
