Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central mainly because of the good feeling I received while taking tours on campus. Everyone that I met had a welcoming presence and all were very polite to me while I was touring. In addition, I was able to learn more about the Computer Science program from Scholar days and I was able to have an overnight stay with someone on the track team. Both aided in my decision to attend Central as I felt it was a good fit for me.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professors would have to be Dr. Johnson and Dr. Fyfe. I find both professors to be very passionate about the topics they are teaching each day, which helps with my understanding of the material. Both are readily available for questions outside of class and are happy to help ensure that you understand the material. I also find both to be very nice people that are easy to have a normal conversation with.
You’re majoring in Computer Science because?
I have always had an interest in computers and technology and wondered what sort of career I could make of my interest. Thankfully, I am now able to take my interest and turn it into a career. Now that I have taken Computer Science classes at Central, I understand the value that comes from developing helpful and practical software that can be used to make people’s lives easier.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am not involved with anything else on campus besides athletics.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I enjoy listening to Queen, Journey, Trans X, and Soft Cell.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Participating in a sport at Central helped me greatly improve my time management. I never realized how important it is for one to be able to properly manage their time until I started taking college courses and participating in track and field. Aside from that, it’s given me great memories and friends for life.
What is the restaurant you miss the most from the Chicago area?
I personally enjoy going to Portillo’s around the Chicago area. I always get a crispy chicken sandwich and strawberry shake.
The event in track and field you are least likely to do?
I don’t enjoy running longer distances very much so I would have to say the 5k is the event I am least likely to do. Coach Fuller if you see this, please take this into consideration.
What is your best dad joke?
What do you call a cow without legs? Ground beef. Yikes
If you could live anywhere after college, where would you choose?
I would quite like to move pretty much anywhere South such as Florida, North Carolina, or South Carolina. I would definitely enjoy having warmer weather the entire year.

Favorite TV Show
I watched Mr. Robot about a year ago and I must say it was a great watch.
What’s it like to compete for Coach Fuller?
I really appreciate his work ethic and overall attitude he brings to practice each day. He is always making sure that everyone he works with has proper workouts that are beneficial. There is a good balance to what he expects from us since he understands we are student athletes, which makes working with and being an athlete on his team a great experience.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Track and Field?
The first thing that came to mind was that it’s been really easy to make friends with anyone on the team. Everyone on the team is so welcoming and genuine. We all have at least one thing in common, so getting to know someone is made simple. So far, I have made plenty of close friends I am sure I can keep in contact with after I graduate.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to have a stable job, preferably working as a software engineer. Also hopefully living somewhere South with nice weather.
Favorite food from Central Market
I always enjoy any of the cook to order options from the grill. Any day that’s offered is a good day for me.
