Why did you choose Central?

The main reason I chose Central was because everyone involved with this college wants you to succeed both academically and athletically. I saw the impact Central had on my parents and siblings and knew that was the culture I wanted to be a part of. Not only do they want you to succeed, but they are willing to help push you in the right direction for you to grow.

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Dr. Golovatski, because she makes every class fun and engaging at the same time. She also is willing to put whatever time out of her day, for office hours, to help myself and other students understand something they did not during class.

You’re majoring in engineering because? 

I am majoring in engineering because I love to work on problems and innovate things to make them better, or create something new to make certain things a little easier.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I am involved with FCA or Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Faith is a big part of who I am and I think FCA does a good job with helping to sharing the gospel to others on campus.

Who are your go-to musical artists?
My go-to musical artists are Jervis Campell, Zach Williams, Larry Fleet, and Darris Rucker.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

I think attending Central and playing a sport are one in the same for me. I think they played a part in the man I am today. They both help me just go outside my comfort zone academically and athletically for me to grow the way I need to once my years in college are over.

What is the most rhino-like thing you’ve done since coming to Central?

No comment.

What’s it like to be the latest in a longline of Gray family members to wear a Central uniform?

I am honored to know that the uniform that I wear is from the same football program and college that my father and brothers played for. And I guess my sister too, since she did track and field here.

Best restaurant to eat at off-campus in Pella?

The best off campus restaurant would be Cantaritos.

Teammate you think would give you the best chance to win Amazing Race?

Niko Zaralantas would be the guy to help us win.

My favorite TV show would be Supernatural.
 
What’s it like to play for Coach McMartin?

What it's like to play for Coach McMartin is that he expects the best out of us and expects us to understand that as well. He is a coach that cares deeply for his players and the legacy we play for.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Football?

My favorite part about being a member of Central Football is that the entire team is one big friend group that can rely on each other for anything. Also my favorite part is the Friday nights before games where we hang out with each other when we watch movies .

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

What I hope to be doing 10 years from now is having a good career as an engineer.

Favorite food from Central Market

My favorite food from Central Market is the CTO brisket quesadillas.

Bucket list

My bucket list is to travel abroad to countries like Scotland, Italy, Israel, Austria, and Switzerland. And to explore those cultures. I would also like to go skydiving at some point.
