Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because I loved the soccer and academic opportunities. I really enjoyed the coaches and how they ran the men's soccer program. I also was excited about everything Central has to offer for science majors, especially being able to do research with professors. Another reason that got me excited about central was the study abroad program as well as a very nice campus. I also just felt like this was where God wanted me to be.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is probably Professor Dunne. He is enjoyable to listen to as well as fun to have a conversation with. He is also very laid back and I have enjoyed him being my advisor, being in his class, doing research with him, and being his lab TA.
You’re majoring in Biochemistry because?
I am majoring in Biochemistry because in high school I really liked my AP chem teacher and class as well as my AP biology class. I also knew I did not like writing, math, or accounting and I wanted to pick a field I was interested in and provided a lot of different career options.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in leadership with FCA and Scholte Hall council. I regularly attend campus ministry events and bible studies. I also worked at the cafeteria for a while and I was a Lab TA.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
My music taste varies from Billy Joel, Queen, and Fleetwood Mac to Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, and Luke Combs to Kanye.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing soccer has greatly impacted my life for the better. I love playing a sport because I love to compete and get better, along with making many new friends. Central also provides many different groups that have helped strengthen my faith since being in college.
What sport are you best at besides soccer?
I am really good at Spike ball which is definitely a sport and I am pretty decent at sand volleyball as well.
If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would do?
If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is pay for college and buy a car.

What is the best non-school book you’ve read in the last year?
The best book I have read in the past year is the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. I am also a huge Harry Potter nerd.
What’s the best spot to vacation at in the summer?
My favorite vacation spot I have been to has got to be the Cayman Islands. It was so beautiful and peaceful.
Favorite TV Show
My favorite TV show is The Office, and I am very sad they took it off Netflix.
What’s it like to play for Coach Laidlaw?
Coach Laidlaw is a great coach to play for because he is very invested in us on and off the field. He is also very genuine and enthusiastic all the time.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Men's Soccer?
I love having a group of guys that I can compete with on the field and have fun with off of it. We do pretty much everything together, it’s like being in a frat but better.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I don’t know exactly what I want to be doing but I know I want to be using science to help people.
Favorite food from Central Market
My favorite food from Central depending on the vibe is either the French Toast bar or Brisket Quesadillas.
Bucket list
I want to go backpacking in Europe, bench 315, go skydiving, and watch the Cyclones win the natty in either basketball or football.
