Why did you chose Central?

I chose Central because I liked the small class sizes and having the one-on-one with professors. I also enjoyed how friendly and welcoming everyone on campus is. With it being a small campus, it is always fun to see people you know on your way to and from class.

Favorite professor and why?

Professor Mark Mills because I like the way he teaches and structures his math classes. He also enjoys getting to know his students and is very helpful outside of the classroom.

You’re majoring in Actuarial Science because?
 
I really enjoy math and business finance and Actuarial Science is the perfect combination of those.

Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?

I am involved in Dance Marathon.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

My favorite music to listen to is the late 90s and early 2000s country, but I can never get tired of listening  to Carrie Underwood or Shania Twain.

How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?

Attending Central and playing golf has shown me how to balance my lifestyle between academics and golf. It has also taught me to work hard no matter if it is in the classroom or on the golf course.

What is your favorite hole to play at Bos Landen?

If I had to pick it would probably have to be hole #3 because it is different than any par 3 I have ever played before coming to Central.

Biggest pet peeve?

When people just ride in the left lane while they are driving.

Favorite sport besides golf?

Definitely, football, by family and I go to games in Green Bay almost every year. Go Pack Go!

What is your dream course to play on?

If I could play on any course it would have to be Pebble Beach.

Favorite TV Show

Without a doubt Friends. I have watched every season multiple times.

What’s it like to play for Coach Schumacher?

Coach Schumacher is very knowledgeable about the game of golf and is willing to help her athletes in any way they need it. She has spent multiple hours with me outside of practice to work on and improve my swing which has been shown on the course. I am very thankful she has taken the time to do that. She also always knows it's a must that we get dessert after every tournament!

What’s your favorite part about being a member of the women’s golf team at Central College?

Being able to experience things that I would never get to do if I wasn’t on the golf team. We are going to Texas this Spring Break and then we are also going to Scotland at the end of May to play on a bunch of well-known courses. Last Spring we also got to golf at TPC Deere Run which has been my favorite course so far. I never thought that I would get the opportunity to play on a professional course.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?

In 10 years I hope to have passed all the Actuarial exams and to have a job that I enjoy.  I also hope that I will be settled down and starting a family.

Favorite food from Central Market

My favorites are the Kids Buffet and Bourbon Chicken, but nothing tops ice cream on Wednesdays.
