Why did you chose Central?
After graduating high school, I knew I wanted a place where I could excel in the classroom and on the golf course. After a few visits, I knew Central would become my new home. The campus felt like home to me and the community within it.
Â
Favorite professor and why?
I can’t pick just one professor. Within the exercise science and education departments, they’ve all helped me understand course content and grow as an individual.Â
Â
You’re majoring in exercise science because?
It fascinates me. It has allowed me to realize how important physical activity is for each individual's health. I want to become a physical education teacher and help students improve their physical fitness and wellbeing.Â
Â
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am a member of Central’s chapter of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. I also participate in basketball and volleyball intramurals.
Â
Who are your go-to musical artists?
No judgment, but Justin Bieber never fails.Â
Â
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Playing golf for Central has taught me many things about myself such as time management and how to work with a team. It is a great way for me to represent the college and play with pride.
Â
Favorite sport to play besides golf
Basketball hands down.
Â
Favorite professional golfer
I enjoy watching Collin Morikawa and how he plays the game. He holds himself differently than other players which I respect and admire.
Â
Toughest hole at Bos Landen
Hole 14 is the toughest hole at Bos Landen by far. It takes five very good shots to get par and four excellent shots to get a birdie.
Â
Favorite course you have ever played
TPC Deere Run is my favorite course I’ve played on. It’s hard to beat playing on a PGA Tour course. It’s a fun course to play and the history of the course makes it more enjoyable to play.
Â
Favorite TV Show
The Blacklist
Â
What’s it like to play for Coach Blasi?
It’s good to have a coach with lots of experience under his belt. Coach tells us how it is and pushes us to become the best we can be. He is very knowledgeable about the game of golf. He knows the ins and outs of the golf swing which has helped me correct my swing.
Â
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central men’s golf?
My favorite memories of college golf come from traveling with the team. Competing is always enjoyable but hanging out after each golf round with the team can’t be beaten.
Â
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be making an impact on others while educating myself on becoming the best person I can be.Â
