Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central primarily because I wanted a small school atmosphere rather than a large university. I knew I would be able to get to know my professors and classmates better this way. In addition to this, I would also be able to compete in track and field and sing in the choir as I desired, while still excelling in academics, a combination which is difficult at larger schools.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is probably Dr. Mills. I love the energy he brings to every class period. More importantly, it seems he is interested in getting to know all his students and can strike conversations with them at any time. He is a great class dean and teaches well in the classroom.
You’re majoring in actuarial science and economics because?
I have always had a strong liking for topics and concepts in the area of math, economics, and stats. The real-world applications fascinate me. Actuarial science is a challenge, but I think I can be a good fit for me.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
In addition to track, I am involved in two choirs, the A Capella Choir and Chamber Singers.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
My go-to musical artists are probably Toby Keith and the Newsboys.
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Attending Central and playing a sport has been a fantastic experience for me. For starters, it forces me to be great at managing time and keep a good schedule in order to be able to excel in athletics and academics. I am also forced to be a strong communicator, having to communicate between professors and coaches regarding track and choir conflicts. These skills will help me frequently the rest of my life. Doing track has also allowed me to make some great friends and allowed me to spend time with them every day during practice.

What’s it like to compete for Coach Fuller?
When competing for Coach Fuller, the expectations are high. You are competing for a very experienced coach who is among the best in knowledge and strategy. He really knows how to coach athletes to do there best and knows about almost all parts of track and field. He is also good at introducing an event to an athlete who has never done it before and has no experience. He has a history of coaching many nationally ranked and all-American athletes. It is an incredible group of athletes to be a part of. Coach Fuller is relatable and approachable on a personal level as well.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central track and field?
My favorite part about being a member of the track and field team is competing at meets and having the full support of all my teammates while I am competing.

Ten years from now, I would like to be working full time as an actuary or as a sports analyst.
