Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because I feel like I have a family away from home, especially with all the girls on the softball team. I also feel safe in the Pella community.
Favorite professor and why?
Professor Jaclyn Rundle - She really cares about you as a person just as much as she cares about you as a student. Especially since COVID has been a major part of all of our lives she makes sure us as students are doing well. I think she does a good job at explaining her course material, too.
You’re majoring in Business Management because?
I am majoring in business because any skills that I learn in the business program here at Central can be easily transferred to just about any future career or job opportunity.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
MVP
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Rascal Flatts, Luke Combs, Rodney Atkins, Post Malone, and Juice WRLD
How has attending Central and playing a sport impacted your life?
Central pushes me academically and athletically to make me a better person and to prepare me for life after I graduate. I have made life long memories and friendships all because I choose to attend Central College.
What’s your cheesiest pickup line? Have you ever actually used it on someone?
“If you were a triangle, you’d be an acute one.”
No I haven’t used it on someone
All-time favorite Disney movie
I am a huge Disney fan so it’s hard to pick just one, but if I had to choose it would either be Lilo and Stitch or any Disney princess movie.
Teammate who could be a reality show star (and what show would they be on)
Kellie Prince - The Bachelor or the Bachelorette
Place you would most like to visit
Brazil and Costa Rica
Favorite TV Show
The Office
What’s it like to play for Coach Wares?
There aren’t enough words to describe what Coach Wares has done for me as a player and as a person. He has taught me how to believe in myself, and has made me stronger both physically and mentally. I have had highs and lows playing here at Central, and Coach has stuck by me through them all. I have learned lessons not just by Coach Wares, but also through the program he has built, that will stick with me all my life. Coming out of this program I know that I can face any challenges that come my way and I can attribute that to Coach Wares.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central softball?
My favorite part are the lessons that Central softball teaches you. They are more than just about the game itself. Central softball teaches each player about life and how to be confident and strong in yourself. It has brought me teammates and alumni that are now my family members as all of us have put our hearts into something that’s bigger than ourselves.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be having my own family, with two Golden Retrievers, and owning my own business.
