Class of 2020
Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I was looking for more of a “close knit community” feel that I didn’t get at my previous school. When I visited for the first time, I knew that Central was where I wanted to be.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor would have to be Dave Pavlat. Not only is he a good professor, but he really tries to build relationships with his students too. He cares about each student’s success and cares about them as an individual as well. I think that is something that really stands out about him.
You’re majoring in _exercise science__ because? (fill-in the blank with your major)
I chose this path because it seemed like the best way I was able to achieve my goal of continuing my education to become an Occupational Therapist. The exercise science professors are the best!!
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I’ve been involved in SAAC in the past and also participate in FCA.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I’m a big country fan, but I like to switch it up sometimes. I love music. I’m always looking for new songs and updating my playlists. I like to find artists that aren’t super popular either. If I had to choose one artist, I would have to say Dan & Shay.
What are you summer plans for 2020?
I plan to either get a job back home before I head to grad school in the fall, or find a job in the location where I will be attending grad school. Hopefully I will take a trip or 2 somewhere cool. I love traveling and experiencing new places.
What is your dream job?
For the longest time, my dream job was an anesthesiologist. I didn’t want to be in school for half my life, so I picked occupational therapy instead.
If you could live in a book, movie, or tv show, what would it be and why?
My favorite book is The Outsiders. I think it would be SO cool to go back and experience that time.
Person past or present you’d like to have lunch with
Lucille Ball. I was her for Hall of Fame in 4th grade. I’ve always been a fan. She’s funny and goofy and when I was growing up, my family would always compare me to her!
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Too many to count. For a while, I probably got a new pair every week. Shoes are definitely my favorite part about an outfit.
Favorite TV Show
I’m not much of a tv watcher, but right now I would have to say The Good Doctor. If anyone wants a show that tugs on their heartstrings a little bit, this would be it!
What’s it like to compete for Coach Wares?
Competing for Coach Wares is an experience I can’t even put into words. The amount of things I’ve learned about the game of softball, myself, and life is incredible. He’s definitely forced my out of my comfort zone and helped me become the person I am today.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central softball?
5:30 a.m. practice (and the amazing people I’ve met along the way)! I would say the fact that I’ve become the person that I want to be because of Central softball is the best part.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to continue changing people’s lives with occupational therapy.
Favorite food from Central Market
Considering I’m gluten free, I have a small selection. I would probably say quinoa bar or the power bowls. Mongolian is always good too (gluten free soy sauce should be available though)!
Bucket list
Skydiving for sure. I would love to visit Bora Bora and the Taj Mahal too.
