Why did you choose Central?
I wanted to be part of something greater and Central seemed to be the place to do that for me. Coach Fuller made a huge impact on my decision to come to Central. He truly made an effort above and beyond any coach to make me feel special. Central sets such high standards for their students, I felt this was the perfect next step to impact me the most and help push myself to do my best. Central presented itself as a college where I could get to know everyone on campus and give me memories and friends of a lifetime.
Favorite professor and why?
Dave Pavlat, because he makes class not only challenging but also fun and enjoyable at the same time. He is relatable to his students and gets to know them personally as well as sharing his own personal moments.
You’re majoring in Exercise Science because?
It’s what I love to do. It's never going to be the same thing everytime, we are always learning new things and researching everyday to benefit others.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I’m involved in intramural volleyball and basketball. I am also apart of the fishing club at Central,
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I really don't have any favorites, more just what I’m in the mood for. When I’m driving its country and when I’m getting ready to pole vault it's more hip-hop/rap.
What are your favorite summer activities?
Bonfires, farming, fishing with my grandpa and making money
If you woke up one morning and found yourself to be invisible, what would be the first things
you did?
Go skinny dipping in the Central Pond.
If you could go back in time and personally witness any event, what would it be and why?
I would go back to 1988 and watch Surgey Bubka break the world pole vault record and claim the gold medal. It has been broken since then, but he is someone who I strive to become as a pole vaulter. Not just to be the best, but someone that others can look up to as well.
What language do you wish you could speak?
French, because it seems like they are always on their game.
What words of wisdom would you pass on to your childhood self?
Believe in yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to. Don’t worry so much about what others think of you. Just be true to yourself.
Favorite TV Show
The Ranch
What’s it like to compete for Coach Sturman?
It's great, he brings a good mixture of competitiveness and knowledge to the team with a good sense of humor to push us to be our best.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central track and field?
There's many reasons that I love being on the track team, but the biggest for me is the feeling of having that family aspect. We always find a way to bring each other up in those times of need. We are not just teammates. Central truly gives such a unique dynamic aspect of family. We as a team do almost everything together.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to either be farming or a coach at some university. In a perfect world, both.
