Why did you chose Central?

I chose Central because once I was on my visit I knew that this was where I wanted to be for the next four years. Everyone was so welcoming and I was close enough to home that I could visit whenever but far enough away to feel independent.

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor is Dr. Cynthia Mahmood because she is passionate about her classes and the stories she tells of her experiences and she always made me look forward to going to class.


You’re majoring im exercise science because? 

I’m majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in communication and right now I am focused on being a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist after graduation. I knew that I wanted to do something with exercise science but after seeing my grandma in the ICU I knew I wanted look more into cardiology.

Who are your go-to musical artists?

Some of my favorite musical artists right now are Khalid, Ali Gatie, and Bazzi

What are you summer plans for 2020?

This summer I’m planning on going home and nanny, spending time with friends, and getting to spend the whole summer with my new little nephew.

 What is the best advice you have ever received from a coach? 

My high school volleyball coach, Coach Comfort, stopped me during a practice warm up when I was a senior and told that I needed to give everything I can while I’m playing because it seems like you’ll get to play forever but you won’t and you don’t want to look back and wish you would have gone just a little harder.
 
Describe the worst haircut you've ever had 

I’ve never had a terrible haircut that stands out to me but from 6 months old until I was around two my hair stood straight up on my head so my parents put lots of hats on me because everyone thought I looked like a troll doll.

What is something you have always wanted to try but are too scared to?

I really want to go skydiving but just haven’t worked up the courage to actually do it yet but I ‘m planning on doing it eventually

What is your favorite thing to spend money on? 

My favorite thing to spend money on is lots of clothes and shoes!

My favorite TV show right now is The Office

What’s it like to play for Coach Ferrell?

Its amazing because I know what he expects of me in tennis and he knows when to push me harder and when to take a step back and go easy on me and let me figure it out on my own or have a little break. He’s always there for us to talk to and genuinely cares about every player and really makes the team feel like a family.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central tennis?

Meeting some of my best friends and my roommate through tennis, getting to continue to play a sport I love throughout college, and all of the bus rides with my team.

What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Hopefully I will have started my own family and moved out of Iowa to be a cardiac rehabilitation specialist
