Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because I felt as though the experience here was honest. I went on 7 different college visits and I felt that Coach Douma, the math department, and everybody genuinely cared about me.
Favorite professor and why?
Professor Russell Goodman. He makes the lesson interesting and does a great job of explaining the concepts. He’s also willing to help outside of class which helps a lot especially in math. Also, he talks sports with me all the time so that helps the semester go by faster.
You’re majoring in Math because?
I want to be a high school math teacher. I had a really good role model in high school because my basketball coach was my math teacher. I felt as though he made a huge impact in my life and I hope I can do the same for future generations of kids.
Besides athletics, what else are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in FCA, I do SAM (Student-Athlete Mentor), and I am also a writing tutor.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
My favorite is definitely Luke Combs, but I also like AC/DC and Eminem - so a variety.
If every time you entered a room a theme song played, what would the song be?
Mr. Boombastic - Shaggy
Worst thing you ever did as a child? What was the punishment?
One time, when I was about ten I was complaining our car was messy and how my mom should clean it. My mom pulled over and said, “Get out of the car.” I ended up running beside the car for the next mile before we got back to our house. I never complained about the car again.
If you joined the circus, what would you perform?
I would be a unicyclist. I’ve always had a passion for things with one wheel.
Favorite professional sports team?
I know they’re not professional but definitely the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Cornhusker football is the closest thing we have to a professional team in Nebraska. I know they’re a little down as of recently but we’re coming back. #FaithinFrost
What song would you sing for your American Idol audition?
Someone Like You - Adele
Favorite TV Show
So cliché but definitely The Office. Creed always gives me a chuckle.
What’s it like to play for Coach Douma?
I would have never heard about Central had it not been for Coach Douma so I am forever thankful to him. Other than that I enjoy playing for Coach because he cares about this team more than anything else and genuinely sees every player as a person. I wouldn’t want to play for anyone else.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Basketball?
Again cliché but the guys. I love being apart of something bigger than myself. I can honestly say this year from the last guy on JV to Adam Flinn that we have some of the best relationships. There’s isn’t a day that I don’t want to go hang around everyone.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I’ll be thirty that’s about all I can say with certainty.
Favorite food from Central Market
Ice Cream Sundaes on Wednesday. I’ll never forget I visited on a Wednesday and there were sundaes that day. I can honestly say that ice cream bar is what brought me to Central.
