Why did you choose Central?
After going to the University of Iowa for a semester, I felt like I was just another number. I had looked at
Central before and I knew a lot of the guys on the team. I ended up transferring and I haven’t looked
back. I have made some lifelong friends at Central and I feel like I’ve made an impact on campus.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is probably Dr. Hibbard or Dr. Lemke, they both made my time in the classroom
more entertaining. I always get to see Dr. Hibbard at Kuyper on the weekends, and he always asks me
how Track is going and will time my reps for me.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I’m a big Post Malone guy but I’ll listen to anything from Country to EDM as long as the track be fire.
You’re majoring in Business Management & Mathematics because?
When I first signed up for classes in my freshman year, my advisor told me to choose a class that would
be fun for me, and I made the choice of Calc 2...
What was your first detention for?
I wanted my friend to catch a rock, so he went deep and then I threw the rock at him. Let’s just say he
didn’t catch the rock with his hands.
Would you rather go into the past or future?
Definitely, the past because I could invest in things like Amazon or Bitcoin and have millions of dollars
now. Also, I could tell my younger self to not be an idiot all the time. Lastly, I don’t want to know where
my life goes because that takes the fun out of it.
If you could sing a duet with one person, who would it be and why?
I would have to sing with Matt Vannatta, I would choose “Love Story” by Taylor Swift so that I could
serenade him with my beautiful voice.
What was your dream job growing up?
I always wanted to be a Math teacher growing up. I love Math. I always wanted to share that with other
people, but reality hit when I realized that I’m the only one that can read my own handwriting.
What was the weirdest prank call you have ever made?
One time we prank called one of my roommates at the info booth that we lost our wallet in the weight
room. We made him search for 30 minutes by the equipment before he finally gave up looking.
Favorite TV Show
I think it’s a tie for me between Community and Stranger Things. Community is just a great show and I
like Stranger Things because Mike reminds me of Preston Kizer and sometimes I miss his face.
What’s your favorite part about working with Coach Sturman?
He has renewed my love for Track and Field. He has helped me with my confidence on and off the track, and he believes in me and my potential as an athlete.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Track and Field?
You can learn so much about a team’s character when a coach gives them a hard workout. What I love
about being part of this team is how they respond to hard workouts, sure we have fun, but when it
comes down to the workouts I almost never hear complaining and we always get the work done.

Have a job doing what I love (Investments) and be married, have a dog for each kid that I have. I think
dogs have to reflect their owners, so I need a Labradoodle because my hair is curly and so is theirs.
Favorite food from Central Market
My favorite food is the wraps on Fridays, I always look forward to going to Subway or Jimmy Johns.
