Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because it offered me the ability to play baseball and be part of one of the best athletic training programs in the country. Although Central isn’t even as big as my high school, I love the small school atmosphere because it allows you to build friendships with almost everyone on campus. It really feels like being part of a family when you go to Central!
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. Shuger Fox because she is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what she teaches and she is always willing to help students identify ways to change their lives to be better students, athletes, and people. Oh yeah and she brought a dog to class to help us deal with the stress of her upcoming final exam!
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, Skillet, Building 429, and maybe some throwback 2000’s artists like akon or the black eyed peas.
You’re majoring in athletic training because?
I’m majoring in athletic training because I have always wanted to work in the medical field and athletic training will allow me to combine this desire with my passion for baseball and will hopefully lead to a career working in Major League Baseball someday.

What’s the worst job you have ever had?
Working the cash register at a coffee shop on Black Friday. It was the only one in the entire outlet mall and I had to tell customers that it was going to take an hour for their coffee. Needless to say they weren’t very happy that night.

I don’t recall ever making any prank calls but I love when I get calls from random numbers letting me know that I’ve won a free cruise! I’ve won like 4 already!
What are you doing this summer?
This summer I am doing an athletic training internship with USA Baseball and coaching for the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Academy.
If you could speak another language, which would it be and why?
Probably French because they say that it’s the language of love and I can use all the help that I can get!

What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Schirm?
He is an avid watcher of the movie Step Brothers. If you ever want to really upset him just forget to bring that movie on a road trip.. I unfortunately learned this lesson the hard way.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central Baseball?
My favorite part about being a member of Central Baseball has to be the friendships that everyone on the team forms. Whether it’s morning lifts, long bus rides, eating meals together, or running the Lemming Race, we always have fun being together as a team! It truly is one big family and it’s always fun to be a part of!

Ten years from now I’ll hopefully have a family and be an athletic trainer for an MLB team.
