Why did you choose Central?

I chose Central because the campus felt like a community; everybody here is warm and welcoming. Central is the place that felt most like home!

Favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor has to be Professor Bergman. Although I hated accounting, she made going to class a lot more fun and kept the class engaging. She was also eager to work with me if I didn’t fully understand the material that we were working on. She really cared whether I learned or not! My other favorite professor is Dr. Keith Jones. I was never bored in in general psychology when Professor Jones was giving a lecture. I enjoyed being in his class even though his tests weren’t my favorite!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

My go-to musical artists are Maren Morris, LANCO, Shinedown, and Nickelback. I can jam to any songs that are on these artists’ albums. Nickelback doesn’t deserve the hate they get because they rock.

You’re majoring in Business Management because?

I am majoring in business management because going into Central I was still unsure of what I wanted to do. After talking to some professors and going to the major fair that Central hosted, I learned that with a business degree you can apply for a wide variety of jobs. I decided that this sounded like a good option for me.

What is something you didn’t know about Central until you got here?

I had no idea that the students here called Central Market CUIFS. I refused to say it my first couple months here because it made me cringe but now that’s all I call it!

What was the happiest moment in your life?

I cannot think of a specific moment that has been my happiest. I am the happiest though when I spend time with my family and friends!

If you had to choose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up?

The one sense that I would choose to give up is the sense of smell. This is the one I believe that I could live without and not really miss out on anything.

What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

I went to a Catholic school growing up and in fifth grade we read the book How To Eat Fried Worms. I hope you guys know where this story is going. Well Sister Ellen decided that she was going to bake some worms into a batch of brownies and make the class eat them. You couldn’t taste the worms but it was still weird knowing that they were in there.

If you could sing one song on American Idol, what would it be and why?

The year is 2022. After graduation I become bored with my everyday life and decide to audition for American Idol. The song I plan to sing? Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. Why you ask? Because Ice Ice Baby is a bop, I already know most of the words, and I would be able to rap a majority of the song instead of torturing the judges with my horrible singing voice. Unfortunately, I do not make it past the auditions, and Simon Cowell comes back just to say “that’s a no from me.” Anyways, that’s how I see my singing career panning out.

Favorite time of day, why?

Probably 11 a.m. because that’s the time where I feel it’s acceptable to stop eating breakfast food and start eating lunch food.

Favorite TV Show

Brooklyn Nine-Nine or New Girl.

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central softball?

My favorite part of being a member of Central Softball is having my coaches and teammates challenging me to be a better person and player everyday.

“Ten years from now I’ll...”

Hopefully be happily married with children and also still be close to my friends on the softball team!

Favorite food from Central Market

Pasta bar for sure. I could eat at least 3 plates.

Bucket list

Skydiving used to be on my bucket list but then I realized that I was afraid of flying so going skydiving probably isn’t the best idea for me. Things that are still on my bucket list include learning how to surf and snowboard, and going scuba diving! I would also love to go to the Greek island of Skopelos where Mamma Mia was filmed with Katie Banowetz!
