Why did you choose Central?
I had an instant connection with Central. It was the first place I visited and I loved the small campus along with it being only 2 hours from home.
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. Weihe. He’s full of clever puns, and he let me do a project where I got to make chocolate chip cookies out of acorns.
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
Rodney Atkins, Alabama, Carrie Underwood
You’re majoring in environmental studies because?
I want to work in a career field that involves the outdoors but also impact people’s lives through outdoor education and land management.
If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be?
The Bachelor. I’d get to travel the world, become famous, and go on free dates. What more could a guy ask for?
Who was your first celebrity crush?
Julianne Hough
If you were an ice cream flavor, which one would you be and why?
Butter Pecan, because I’m a little nutty but also sweet and can be a tad bit salty sometimes.
Would you rather have more time or more money?
More time, so I could spend it fishing/hunting with friends and family.
Most embarrassing (sport) experience
When I was in first grade, I was playing a tee-ball game and I was up to bat. I hit the ball and ran to first base. When I got to the base, I decided I was too hot for the sweatshirt I had on, so I tried pulling it off. I ended up pulling it off along with my jersey underneath. I was completely shirtless standing on first base. My dad had to run out to the field and un-tangle me so I could put my jersey back on. All the parents and kids were laughing at me.
What’s the worst job you have ever had?
I was a maintenance worker for a state park a few summers ago. The job itself wasn’t bad, but there was one day I had to clean the restrooms the night after a big country concert had rolled through town. Let’s just say I dealt with a lot of crap that day…

I watch The Office when I need a good laugh. I’m also a big fan of Modern Family and Survivor.
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Van Kley?
Coach Van Kley invented his own word. I’m not sure how you spell it, but it sounds like “deebeedee”. If you listen closely, you’ll hear wrestlers say it all the time. It’s hard to explain, but the word is usually used when congratulating someone for something particularly odd.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central wrestling?
The friendships I’ve made. Ya I know that’s cliché but I’ve met some incredible people on this team that I know will be a part of my life for the rest of my life.

Be sitting at home with my wife I met on the Bachelor letting our kid/s play in my log cabin house while watching the Raiders win a Superbowl.
