Why did you choose Central?
I chose Central because I loved the campus and the homie feel. My home town isn’t too far from Pella, so I really liked the fact that my family was going to be able to make it to all of my basketball games.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Julianne Taylor. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and her classes are so much fun. She has such a passion for teaching and children. Her motto is “Everything is going to be fine!”
Who are your go-to musical artists?
I listen to a lot of country. I really like Luke Combs, Shania Twain, and Thomas Rhett.
You’re majoring in elementary education because?
I love working with children and want to make a difference in their lives. I love seeing that spark go off when they learn something new.
What’s the best kind of cereal?
My favorite kind of cereal is Frosted Flakes, They’re Great!
If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would it be?
That is an easy one, I would be a horse. I love horses! I have three horses, Duke, Mikey, and Apollo, back home. In the summer I spend my time going to barrel races and rodeos.
If you could win the lottery, what's the first thing you would do?
The first thing I would do would be buy another horse and the next thing would be to go on vacation. Somewhere warm. I have been to Hawaii before, but would love to go back.
Celebrity crush
Tuf Cooper. He is a professional tie-down roper. A few years ago, I got to go to Las Vegas to the National Finals Rodeo and I got to meet him in person. It was the best day ever!
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Steinkamp?
If you have ever been to a game, you might know this. But when he gets mad at us, he likes to stomp his foot. We call it the Steinkamp stomp.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central basketball?
I love how our team is a family. They are a great support system and we push each other every day to be the best we can be on and off the court.
