Why did you chose Central?
I chose central because I really enjoyed the wrestling team culture. I also liked the fact that there is a great strength and conditioning program here, as well as exercise science program. My brother also attended this school, so that had a great influence on me coming here as well.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is professor Kaitlin Valster. Upon me having her as an advisor going into junior year she was very intentional about helping me to find my future career. Professor Valster encouraged me to research different career routes, and also prescribed one that I’m currently pursuing, which is occupational therapy. I’m thankful to have an advisor with honorable traits such as a hard work ethic, beautiful personality, and a passion for her job. These are all things that I aspire to have in a workplace of my own one-day.

You're majoring in exercise science because..?
I’m majoring in exercise science with a therapeutic emphasis because it will grant me the opportunity to pursue my future career in occupational therapy as a hand specialist.
If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be?
I would be Frozone because he’s a G.
What is one of your best memories from your childhood?
My favorite memories are spending time with family during Christmas
Would you rather lose your sense of taste or your sense of smell? Why?
I would rather loose sense of smell because I love food too much not to taste it.
If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?
Washington state because it’s beautiful there.
Most memorable thing that has happened while traveling between Washington and Pella?
Having my friend from Nashville Tennessee fly up to Iowa then road tripping back to Washington State with my brother and father for the summer was a blast.
What’s a secret talent that one of your wrestling teammates has?
CJÂ Pestano has been learning how to play the guitar and Gavin Babcock has been learning how to play the piano

What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Van Kley?
He’s one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. This man truly sacrifices each everyday not only for the wrestling team but also for his family. He commits his time and efforts to leave a positive impact on everyone he engages with. Coach Van Kley is a great coach, an even a better mentor and friend.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central wrestling?
My favorite part about being a member of Central wrestling is the lessons I have learned. I have learned what it means to be leader not only when things are going well but when there are hardships. I have learned that my success is not predicated by wins or losses but by the things I can control, which is my effort and my attitude. Lastly I have learned how to continue to grow in my faith when faced with times of adversity. Learning all these things has truly shaped me into the man I am today.
