Why did you chose Central?
I was not sure whether I wanted to play football or not because I haven’t yet found a school that interested me, so I was leaning towards going to UNI just for school. My boss, who was a Central Alum who played football, told me I couldn’t make a decision until I visited Central. When I did, I felt very welcomed by the football staff and students around campus. I knew that this was the place I was supposed to be that would help me grow.
Favorite professor and why?
Professor Mark Thomas, because he’s a very uplifting teacher who keeps students engaged by using humor and a teaching style that is keeps us focused and interested.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Can never go wrong with some Kenny Chesney or Chris Tomlin (Christian artist).
You’re majoring in __________ because? (fill-in the blank with your major)
Business Management because there are lots of opportunities it could lead me to. I’m not quite sure what I want to do after school but I have always wanted to coach either football or baseball at some point.
If every time you entered a room a theme song played, what would the song be?

What’s your cheesiest pickup line? Have you ever actually used it on someone?
“Can I have your picture so I can show Santa what I want for Christmas?”

Watermelon Sour-patch Kids, absolute no-no.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or to the future?
I would love to go back in the past and see how some of my older and deceased family members lived and how similar or different we are from them.

What words of wisdom would you pass on to your childhood self?
Don’t live by the, “Due on Tuesday; Do on Tuesday” rule. Don’t recommend, still working on it.
Favorite TV Show
The original Scooby-Doo. I learned time because of it. I’d ask my mom when we would have to leave to go somewhere and she would tell me we would leave after 2 Scooby-Doo shows. So, I would watch 2 shows and know we would be leaving soon. Ah, the good ole days.
What is it like to play for Coach McMartin?
Coach Mac is an amazing role model who I strive to coach like if I do go down that path. He is very knowledgeable of the sport but above all, he truly cares about each player outside of football. After one of my games I saw him talking to my cousin who played here 10 years ago. He asked what he was doing and was interactive with his family, but what caught my ear is when he was about to leave and he said, “If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.” I hear that phrase a lot, but you know when Coach Mac says it, he means it. He is someone who I will compare myself to as I grow up, because I know he has it figured out and as a husband and coach.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central football?
The guys around me, and the friendships I’ve made on the team are one’s that will truly last forever.

Be a husband and father. Sounds very old of me but ever since I was a kid I was excited to be a dad because a mini-me is exactly what this world needs more of.
