Why did you chose Central?

The moment I walked on campus, this felt like home. I love how everyone you walk by, whether you know them or not, says hi to you. I love that I can be in so many activities (like soccer, choir, campus ministry, CAB, and other activities), that you really couldn’t achieve at a big school. I love that the education we receive at Central is top-notch, not just academically but in life-skills, too. I love the Central spirit! Honestly, this is my dream school!

Favorite professor and why?

Dr. Keith Jones, because he not only cares about me academically, but he cares about me as a person. His passion for teaching and for people is inspiring and I really look up to that. These past few years, he has encouraged me and has been a mentor for me. My favorite story about him was recently explained that the reason he was enduring a 48-mile run over a weekend was because he asks us students to do unpleasant, challenging, and hard stuff, so why shouldn’t he? That’s Dr. Jones- He puts others before himself!

Who are your go-to musical artists?

Tandy Reussner, Steffany Gretzinger, Eric Whitacre, Luke Bryan

You’re majoring in _____ because?

Psychology, on the Pre-Medicine route, because I love learning about why people behave in a certain way! Psychology is the study of what is basic to every human being. With any job, psychology is useful. And as a future physician, I want to be able to relate to my patients and care for them well, treating their whole self. So much of sickness and illness is affected by our mental health, and good mental health plays a big role in healing. I find it fascinating!

What is your best sport besides soccer?

Cross-Country and (table) Foosball

What kind of phone was your first phone?

A blue Samsung flip phone!

If you had to be stranded on an island with one member from your team, who would it be and why?

I’d have to say Lauren Goeke because we studied abroad in Wales together and learned how to start a fire, climb waterfalls, and surf, so I feel like we would make the most of it. I would have Anna Tillo there as well, because she could do my hair and makeup so that when I get rescued, I would look good for the camera.

What is the weirdest scar you have and how did you get it?

I have a scar on my right knee from tearing my ACL during a soccer game, but what's weird is that my mom also tore her ACL on the same knee, on the same field, and just a year later than me. The same doctor repaired hers, so we have matching weird scars!

What language do you wish you could speak?

Welsh (fluently), and Spanish

What is the best advice you have ever received from a coach?

My dad was my coach through grade school, and ever since I was little, he would always tell me to go have fun. It seems so simple but as I have gotten older, it has impacted my playing. When things get hard and challenging and when I start to get discouraged, I just remember my dad telling me to just have fun. It turns out that I do better when I’m having the time of my life!

Favorite TV Show

Hart of Dixie

What is it like to play for Coach Kobylinski?

I’ve learned so much about soccer from him and I always feel well-equipped going into a match. His passion for soccer is contagious and he always believes we will succeed. He loves when we work hard at improving our game, and he pays attention to team chemistry. That means a lot!

What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central soccer?

I have 33 best friends who care for each other on and off the soccer field. It doesn’t matter if you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior--everyone is loved and everyone is so excited to see each other everyday. There is something special about being on the Central Soccer team and I am so blessed to have my teammates as family.
