Why Central?
I chose Central because it felt like a home away from home when I visited. Everyone on campus was extremely nice and the professors were wonderful. It was the only campus that gave me that feeling from the beginning.
Favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Mark Mills. He does a great job with his lectures and is always eager to talk about anything whether it be math or college football. He is also extremely supportive of everyone and their on campus activities.
In your iPod?
I’ve got a mix of about everything. One day I could be listening to country and the next rap. It all depends on the day I’m having and the mood I’m in.
You’re majoring in mathematics because?
I’ve always had a knack for math and it was one of the few subjects that I didn’t dread going to every day growing up.
Favorite baseball player growing up
I’ve always been a huge Sammy Sosa fan.
What’s the best part about being a catcher?
I am involved in every play. I am the one that tells the pitcher which pitch to throw and I let the fielders know where to throw it. Growing up there were some games where I would play a different position and wouldn’t get a chance all game, but that’s not the case with catching.
Summer plans?
I’m going to be down in Georgia with Matt Schissel working for Perfect Game overseeing their tournaments and showcases.
Most important pre-game ritual?
Avoid eating Subway. It was bad luck once and I can’t risk it.
Favorite baseball memory so far at Central?
Hitting my first college home run against Coe in the conference tournament last year.
Favorite professional sports team
Chicago Cubs. My brother is a Cardinals fan, so naturally I became a Cubs fan.

We accomplish all of our goals. That includes winning conference and being national champions.

Why do you love Central baseball?
We are all so close to one another. We enjoying being with each other on and off the field and I know that I no matter what everyone in our dugout has each other’s backs.

Favorite food from Central Market
Huevos Rancheros. Only thing that will get me out of bed for breakfast in the morning.
