Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because of the numerous opportunities that I thought it could give me. I have been able to play softball, finish two majors, and participate in so many other on campus activities that have helped me to grow as a student, person, and player.
Favorite professor and why?
I don’t think I have had a bad professor at Central, but right now I am taking a seminar class with Dr. Shuger-Fox and I have really enjoyed how passionate she is about the topics in class and how she pushes me to connect different topics to what I will be doing after Central.
Who are your go-to musical artists?
Brett Eldredge, Justin Timberlake, Camilla Cabello and anything played in the Pewter Dove over spring trip.
You’re majoring in biochemistry because?
I am majoring in biochemistry because I had always been told this was the best major to have if you wanted to go into pharmacy. I later figured out that it is not always as boring as it sounds. I have really enjoyed being able to crack the puzzles of organic chemistry and connecting my classes to what I want to do after Central.
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Kaitlyn Andresen would play me pretty well because for some reason she always tries to dress like me and should would make me seem much funnier than I actually am.
What is the oldest thing you own?
I still have a doll at home that I used to sleep with as a baby.
What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?
In high school, I got a concussion after getting hit in the head by a bat. It left a nice bruise on my forehead and that was when I decided I should stick to pitching.
If you were an ice cream flavor, which one would you be and why?
Jolted Cow from Smokey Row because I can be comforting yet exciting.
Most memorable moment of Central softball you’ve been a part of?
There are so many to choose from, but I will never forget Karlee Rock’s 3-run homerun in regionals my freshman year to beat Fontbonne after trailing for most of the game.
Would you rather live on the beach or in a cabin in the woods?
On the beach if it was on my own island
Favorite TV Show
I don’t watch a lot of TV, but when I do I love watching Gossip Girl or The Office
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Roff?
Coach Roff is not very superstitious, but before every game she likes to talk to the game ball before she hands it over to the starting pitcher. I am not sure what she says to it but it has seemed to work pretty well so far.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central softball?
My favorite part about Central softball is tie between all of the crazy traditions that we carry on each year as a program and the fact that I get to have 28 other sisters around campus to hang out with 24/7.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
Ten years from now I will be working as a pharmacist and saving enough money to feed my travel addiction.
