Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central because of the close-knit family like community. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, it’s scary sometimes. Also, the golf team has a great history of success and the facilities are second to none.
Favorite professor and why?
I think I would have to go with Professor Franks. I only took two classes with him, but he is so chill and a really good teacher. Plus, he is a Royals fan.
Who are your go-to musical artists ?
My go-to artist is easily Kanye West. I know pretty much every single word, off every single song in his catalog. I also really enjoy The Weeknd and Chris Brown. A$AP Ferg is my go-to when I want to get hyped. Plain Jane is a must listen if you haven’t heard it already. And I always have to rep KCMO with Tech N9ne.
You’re majoring in comunication studies because?
I am majoring in Communication Studies because I want to go into PR for a professional sports team. If Kansas City ever gets a NBA team, I will be first in line for any job I can get with them.
Toughest hole at Bos Landen
I would have to say the toughest hole is 14. Long par 5 with two difficult lay-up shots and a hard approach. That being said, basically every hole at Bos is difficult.
Favorite celebrity when you were a kid
That’s a tough one. I loved watching Will Smith in Fresh Prince every day. I guess a celebrity that I was forced to like was Macaulay Culkin, the kid from Home Alone. I looked so much like him my family bought me a matching green robe and made me do the thing where he slaps his face and screams.
What kind of clubs are in your bag
Mainly Taylormade. The kind of clubs I have provide a lot of wiggle room when it comes to mishits. Basically, they make it so I don’t have to hit the ball perfect every time, which happens about 1/1000 swings.
Most embarrassing moment?
In golf, almost missing the ball completely in front of everyone during my first ever practice. Overall, falling down the ice covered Maytag stairs while holding a pizza. I saved the pizza.
Best place for barbecue in Kansas City?
That’s a really tough one. Jack Stack is more high end, but Gates is kind of the staple. Either way, wherever you go make sure you get barbeque in Kansas City, MISSOURI.
What’s the best prank you have ever pulled and who was it on?
I once covered my roommate’s things in pictures of Sailor Moon because he looks like her.
Favorite TV Show
I have to go with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Kitten Mittens, Rum Ham, Fight Milk, Riot Punch. The list goes on an on.
What’s one thing people might not know about Coach Graewin?
He really enjoys attending all of the different sport’s games and events. If you are there and not cheering loud, he will be very disappointed.
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central golf?
The camraderie. All the players and coaching staff make everyone feel like family. The golf team really helped me transition into college as a freshman.
“Ten years from now I’ll...”
Have a family with 2 ½ kids. I will be a stay at home dad while my wife Simone works as a nurse anesthetist. I want to train my children to be professionals in either Curling or eSports, hopefully both.
Favorite food from Central Market
Crispitos. I could eat those everyday and never get tired of them.
