Why did you chose Central?
During my college search my dad convinced me to look at Central because of some family history. My grandpa was a teacher and coach here, a some of my uncles came here as well, in fact the volleyball MVP award is named after my uncle Jamie who was a coach here as well. But when I came on a visit none of that factored in, because I fell in love with the campus myself, I loved the small class sizes, and I had a great time with the guys on the cross country team. Pella is close enough to home but far enough away where I can feel independent, and is a community that I love being a part of.
Favorite professor and why?
Three way tie between Benedict, Zaffiro, and GIS-Master Anya Butt. I love the subjects they teach and they all have a strong passion for what they teach and educating their students.

A lot of people, even some strangers on campus, call me Captain, I’ve been given some others by the cross country guys that I probably shouldn’t say.

Bucket list
Travel a lot, especially places that don’t primarily speak English, go to Antarctica, scale a mountain, scuba, paraglide/handglide/wingsuit glide, live in a large-ish city (Boston, Denver, Seattle, or Portland sized), basically anything to broaden my horizons and get out of my comfort zone.
