Why did you chose Central?
I chose Central, because it really is a home away from home. Being from Grinnell, I wanted to go somewhere where I did not lose that “small town feeling”. I was also intrigued with how Central is paired with Allen College for their nursing program.
Favorite professor and why?
By only being at Central for one year, I have already made great connections with several professors. But, coming into Central there was one professor that truly helped me with the transition of being a high school student to a college student, Russell Goodman. He is someone that I can easily talk to about anything and probably knows more about me than any of the other professors at Central.

You’re majoring in __________ because (fill-in the blank with your major)?
I am majoring in biology, because I really want to be challenged before I go into the nursing program at Allen. I have decided to go into nursing, because I have been exposed to several situations in my life that have helped me realize my passion in life; which is helping others, either emotionally or physically. I want to be able to help others when they are at their low in their life.
Most embarrassing moment?
After my high school graduation ceremony, all of my classmates were walking out of the gymnasium and as I was walking out, I tripped and fell in front of everyone. Even though it was not my fault, it was still very embarrassing...
All-time favorite Disney movie?
Either Lady and the Tramp or The Aristocats
Best advice you’ve ever received from a coach?
One of my coaches in the past told me to always follow my heart because I always know what is best for myself, even though it may not please others. Since then, I have always followed that and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity of having him be my coach; he definitely shaped me into the person I am today.
If you could sing a duet with one person, who would it be and why?
Channing Tatum, he may not be a singer but I love him

Definitely vacuuming

What’s makes playing for Coach Ferrell special?
He never fails to put a smile on your face and he always makes practice interesting. There’s never a boring practice because you never know what kind of silly mood he will be in!
What’s your favorite part about being a member of Central tennis?
All of the connections I have made with each of my teammates. It is truly amazing to be friends with such great people and all play the sport we love together.

Be living in either Minnesota or Montana in a log cabin located in the middle of nowhere with my husband and tons of animals :)
Favorite food from Central Market?
By far the dip bar!! The artichoke dip with the pita bread is mouth-watering
