Central College Athletics

Dawn Wood joined the Central volleyball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2024.

Wood has eight years of prior volleyball coaching experience, primarily working with club volleyball teams at the high school level. She spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons coaching at Pella Christian. Wood also worked with the Rams Volleyball Club from 2006-12.  She also has been a high jump coach in track and field.

The Pella native played two seasons at Dordt University before transferring to Central in 2001 where the right-side hitter helped the Dutch win its sixth consecutive Iowa Conference title.

She works in Central's student development office as a campus counselor.
