Claire Snead joined the Central volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2017.
The Colorado Springs native was a four-year letterwinner with the program, starting much of her final three years at setter. On the all-time assists list, Snead is seventh with 1,809. Spread out over 310 sets, she averaged 5.84 per set. She had a career 58 assists against Concordia (Wis.) on September 27, 2013.
A two-year captain, Snead also earned academic all-Iowa Conference honors twice at Central. She was named the team’s Hustle Award recipient three times and landed on the Grinnell Invitational all-tournament team in 2012.
Snead is employed by Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines as labor/delivery nurse.
